Spring has sprung and it is time to get ready for planting. The Community Roots Community Garden in St. George is accepting applications/agreements for the 2022 season.
The registration fee is waived for the 2022 season. The only cost a $5 key deposit if you want access to the garden shed where tools, a hose, and other equipment are available.
If you operated a garden box last year, you have first claim to the same box.
Please do not plant until May 1, as the Town’s public works crew will be adding fresh soil, turning over the boxes, and raising the temporary fence in preparation for this year’s planting.
Unused boxes will periodically be made available to the St. George & Area Food Bank for planting. The first cutoff for registration is Friday, April 22. After that date additional boxes will be given to the Food Bank, reducing the number of available boxes for residents.
Reserving a Box
- 2021 Planters: Please contact the Town Office to confirm if you will be using your box(es) from last year.
- New Planters: Please visit the Town Office to view the Garden map and choose from available boxes.
- Boxes are distributed on a first come, first served basis.
