Demolition of the old water tower is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, October 15. Please take note of the following:
- The work will run from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
- Work days are Monday through Thursday, except for Thanksgiving Day.
- Demolition is projected to take 2 to 3 weeks.
A few residences in the Fort Hill area are still running on the tower’s water supply and will face an outage at some time. We will update the information and notify those residents when we know the time.

As mentioned in Council Meetings, research was completed by the Town Office in an effort to find a solution to save the water tower. However, our tower is made of lower-grade steel than those re-purposed in other communities in both Canada and the United States. Communities whose tower is made similar to our own also had to take down their towers.
