Eagles Nest, located at 2 South Street, is a wonderful spot to have a picnic while taking in the scenic view of The Basin. During the spring and summer, The Basin is a popular spot for eagles, hawks, and osprey. A few hundred feet from the Eagles Nest is the picturesque Gorge with its view of the old mill.
In 2019, the Town of St. George with partnership from JD Irving Ltd. received financial support from the Government of New Brunswick (Tourism) for the revitalization of the Eagles Nest. New sidewalks, parking lot and picnic fixtures are some of the things visitors can expect to see at the updated Eagles Nest.
