Public Notice | Special Meeting to hear objections on By-laws

PUBLIC NOTICE

Take notice that the Council of the Town of St. George, in compliance with Section 111 of the Community Planning Act of the Province of New Brunswick, intends to hold a public hearing of objections on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at Magaguadavic Place, 11 J.O. Spinney Drive, St. George, to hear objections and/or comments pursuant to the proposed By-Law 83 Tourism Accommodation Levy, By-Law 85 Garbage & Recyclables Collection, and By-law No. 23-D-1901 – Respecting Streets and Traffic.

The Town of St. George is seeking to approve the By-Law 83 Tourism Accommodation Levy, to require a 3.5 percent levy payable to the Town of St. George to be used for the promotion of local tourism.

The Town of St. George is seeking to approve the By-Law 85 Garbage & Recyclables Collection.

The Town of St. George is seeking to amend By-law No.23-D-1901 (A By-Law Respecting Traffic on Streets) by establishing of a new road/street of “Pawprint Lane”.


Anyone wishing to offer opinion on this proposed By-law may do so in person at the hearing of objections meeting, or in writing by dropping off your letter during regular business hours in the office of the Clerk of the Town of St. George at Town Hall, 1 School Street before Noon on DAY OF PUBLIC HEARING. A letter may also be sent by email at [email protected].

A copy of proposed By-laws may be inspected at the Town Hall where business hours are from 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
