At the Regular Monthly meeting of the Council of Eastern Charlotte, Wednesday, June 21, Council voted unanimously on two motions: the motion to create the full-time position of Fire Chief for the Eastern Charlotte Fire Rescue, and the motion to appoint Justin W. Johnston to the role. This position marks the first full-time fire chief position in Eastern Charlotte.
