The New Brunswick Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DTI) has informed the municipality of upcoming construction on the Brunswick Street (upper) bridge in St. George. The project includes repairs to the sidewalk and decking.
Work on the bridge is expected to begin on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, and commence for approximately three weeks.
A single lane closure will be in effect for the duration of the project. Please respect all traffic lighting, construction signage, and crew instructions.

Regarding Sidewalk Accessibility:
The first phase of work is the repair of the sidewalk. During this phase the travel lane will be closed to vehicle traffic but open to pedestrians. The second phase will be repair of the decking on both travel lanes, and the repaired sidewalk will be open to pedestrian traffic.
