PUBLIC NOTICE
Take notice that the Council of the St. George, in compliance with Section 111 of the Community Planning Act of the Province of New Brunswick, intends to hold a public hearing of objections on January 11th, 2021 at 6:30 pm online over Zoom Webinar to hear objections and/or comments pursuant to the proposed By-law 25-B 2001. If you would like to speak at this online public hearing, you must first register by clicking this link.
The Town of St. George is seeking to AMEND their Zoning By-law 25-B, under the authority of the Community Planning Act by allowing residential uses in the Downtown Commercial (C1) Zone [a use currently only allowed in apartment buildings of four or more units], so long as the residential use is not on the ground floor.
Anyone wishing to offer opinion on this proposed By-law may do so in person at the hearing of objections meeting or in writing by dropping off your letter during regular business hours in the office of the Clerk of the Town of St. George at the Municipal Office, 1 School Street, St. George, before Noon on January 11th, 2021. A letter may also be sent by email to [email protected]. A copy of proposed By-law may be inspected at the Municipal Office where business hours are from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Please note: You will require either a computer, or an Internet-connected cell phone with the Zoom Cloud Meetings application, and a working microphone to speak during this meeting. It is strongly advisable to test your Internet connection and microphone prior to the meeting. During the meeting you will be initially unseen/unheard but you may make comments or request to speak by typing into the Zoom chat textbox or using the ‘raise hand’ function.
